7th HISTORY: We are learning about Manifest Destiny - how the settlers moved out to the Oregon Country and how Texas claimed their independence.
8th HISTORY: This week we are continuing on our unit about World War II - we will be discussing the Home Front, the War in Africa and Europe, and what life was like under the Third Reich.
5th HISTORY: We will be starting a project for Women's History Month.
6th HISTORY: The 6th graders are studying about the Empires & Cultures of Asia.
RELIGION: We will be learning about how we can follow Jesus, the power of chastity, and planning Wednesday's Mass.
IMPORTANT DATES:
March 4-6 - Self-Study for St. Martin School
March 9 - End of 3rd Quarter
March 11 - Daylight Savings Time begins - students may begin to wear shorts and capris
March 14 - Report cards go home
March 15 - Parent/Teacher Conferences 3:30-6:15 p.m.
March 16 - NO SCHOOL; Teacher Retreat; Fish Fry #2
March 19 - NO SCHOOL (unless used as a snow make-up day)
March 23 - Honor Roll Recognition at Mass; Stations of the Cross and Benediction @12:30 p.m.
